A 1984 Fender American Strat for $550? Excellent condition, but sight unseen... oh yeah, it has a Screamin' Demon in the bridge position.

no! The 80's were not such good times for Fender in general, and for $550.00 oyu can get s pretty nice Strat...that said if it's the one you want...go for it.
