How's this look? Anybody tried this supplier?

from : localhost/cgi.ebay.com/ATA-Matchless-SC...QQcmdZViewItem

A case like that usually sells for around $375, so it's a good deal. The big issue is size and weight, because ATA cases make it a monster to lift. Another thing you might look into these lightweight They're easier to move, and offer plenty of protection. Thanks! How about Tuki covers? Are those purchased from the maker or are they available at discount from online dealers? You're right about the weight of a road case...now that I'm thinking twice about it, I don't really want to deal with that since I'll be moving my own gear. Thanks again!

Lew:

I used to use ATA when I used to travel and tour.

They can take abuse, but you pay for the weight especially with what airlines rip-off on excess baggage fees.

We used to use the cargo services from airlines and get a much better rate, plus they deliver...

Where you going?

If you decide against a flight case ,check these guys out for a great cover. They made mine and can add things like pockets or what ever.I really like mine.

I use Tuki padded covers, and I think they only sell direct, but I could be wrong.
In your case, the Matchless doesn't have wheels, and installing some will deface the bottom of the amp. I think a Gator padded case with wheels or the luggage dolly would be a good way to go. You simply pull the amp out to use it, and the soft material won't chew up the vinyl. I'm always nervous when I put an ATA case over an amp, trying hard not to smack the amp with the aluminum edge.

I'm actually selling the ATA case for my Bogner 2-12 tomorrow. It's totally ridiculous to have all that extra size and weight. I can't even lift it. With the Tuki, I can lift it with one hand! I even have an ATA case for my head, but find myself only using the Tuki padded head cover.
