I have a Washburn falcon that accommadates splitting and I want to replace the pickups. I am looking for a good blues tone like old Clapton,Peter Green,Mick Taylor any thoughts

Thoose used vintage output humbuckers and this type of pup ussualy doesn't have a good split tone . Especially on the bridge. The JB has a quite nice split tone, but on full mode it isn't vintage at all.

The 59, which it's a vintage output humbucker, it's said to have a good split tone on the neck position, but it probably would be quite thin in the bridge.

Let's see if you have more experienced inputs than mine!!

I just forgot...

I have a Custom I split in the bridge. Artietoo has a clip of a Distortion neck split that sounds great in the tips and clips area.

High output pickups are better for splitting. Think about it: strat single coils are at least 6k usually. That's a humbucker rated at 12k in series!
