I'm looking to buy an ATA case for my Deluxe reverb, especially after hearing about alot of problems that arise because of excess shock and handling over time. I just want it to stay the way it is, without any damage or harm done to the components from taking it to practices and gigs too often.
So where should i grab an ATA case? Preferrably with a 'caster cart'.
I'd check out Thats where I got mine at and they are of great build quality and the cheapest from my research. I got all 1/2quot; ply stuff for about the same or less as some places were selling 3/8quot; stuff. Plus they made me a really awesome custom dual head case for both my heads with a shock mount rack space (which they now feature as a standard item on their website) at a totally reasonable cost for it being custom designed.
P.S. I'm pretty sure my case is the one they picture for the dual head shockrack thumb nail (same heads, same configuration, same # of rack spaces and they started offering it right after I got mine in) Very suspicious... I should get some kind of royalties or commission for giving them that great idea.
dang that's kinda pricey! Are the ebay dealers scammers or something?

I've never seen what the ebay sellers have to offer in person, but I wouldn't expect great things. I was gonna build cases myself but just the cost of materials alone is pretty expensive. Think of it this way, if its worth that much to you to protect, then its worth it to protect it well. I'll admit that 1/2quot; ply can be overkill depending on your situation and if you don't think you'll need it, then go with the smaller stuff. But I'm glad I got my stuff thick. Just make sure with the ebay stuff that you notice what kind of specs they have. Like thickness of wood, if they even use PLYWOOD, if they have ball corners and angle aluminum on all edges, if they have recessed hardware, what size (if any) casters they come with. Also, what kind of foam they use is big too. Just know what you're buying and research it no matter what route you go.
I dont plan on beating my amp with a bat or anything (LOL), i just need a bit of shock protection for the time it spends in a car and being hauled so nothing inside gets hurt.
Perhaps i'll take a look at the 1/4 inch ply with casters model.
If you're just looking for minor protection I'd go with the light stuff. I just needed the heavy duty stuff seeing as how my gear saw the entire U.S. a couple times in a trailor with all my other band members gear in there too. Don't go over board. If you don't need heavy duty plywood, save yourself the money.

Look up the ebayer sdaoust They're located in Canada, and the roadcases are the good ATA kind with twist latches. Those are the cheapest 'good ones' I've found. I own one of them, and it's the same as Anvil and Aamp;S. Here's one of his auctions from : localhost/cgi.ebay.com/ATA-Mesa-Boogie-...QQcmdZViewItem
All those ones for $60 have latches like a cheap guitar case, and wheels that fall off.
