What's the output like compared to a full-sized humbucker, like a JB? And what would be a good output neck pickup to match it? I'm being typical and wanting to get thicker, more LP-esque tones out of my tele...so all help will be much appreciated. And for what it's worth, I've run several searches on here before resorting to starting yet another quot;what pickups in my tele?quot; thread!

I looked at that but didn't know if the output was on an overall scale or just relative to other tele pickups. So that's good...it's somewhere between a '59 and a JB. Kind of what I want. Any other recommendations for the neck? I'm going for maximum fat on my tele, but don't want the clean channel to suffer too much. Thanks!

actually, to my ears, a tele hot rail seems hotter than a JB

as far as neck pickups, I'm not sure, but you'll want something pretty bright, otherwise, your middle position will be useless, the hot rail has got a lot of bass to it

You might want either a Strat neck Hot Rails or a full size humbucker. Nothing else will match, I've tried lots of combinations and the Tele Hot Rails puts out alot of sound. PM me if your looking for one, I'll sell mine cheap!
