Hi, i have just ordered a Bill Lawrence L500XL bridge humbucker and wondered if anyone knows of a neck pickup that might go well with it. I play through a solid mahogony les paul copy through a marshall jcm900 mkIII

Eventually I'll order a neck from Warmoth. But I don't know about the compound radius... something just doesn't seem right about it. Is it comfortable? I understand most Ibanez necks use a 12quot; radius and I like it. I'd like a quot;total vintagequot; neck, but you can't get a custom radius. (7 1/2 only) I'd like a neck with 21 frets and a 12quot; radius. Can you do that? I may have to settle for a quot;vintage modernquot; with 22 frets

the emgs in question are 85 for bridge and 60 for neck the guitar is a ibanez rg550

Ok you guys know i brought home a used MIM Tele the other day... It has an aftermarket Gotoh Vintage tele bridge on it with the 3 bar saddles on it... I figured great intonation on such a bridge would be impossible as it has 2 strings per saddle. I figure that this must be apart of the vintage tele sound. But when setting up a bridge like this what is the best intonation you can shoot for? Which strings do i try to get closest to intonate?

Hi, i'm definitely shopping for a new guitar in the 400-500 dollar range. Right now my two prospects are an Ibanez SZ320, or a standard Mexican Tele. If i got the tele i would switch the bridge pickup to either a little 59 or hot rails. Can someone give me some input on the ibanez SZ320? (how versatile is it, etc.) I play a pretty broad range of music, anywhere from john mayer to tool. thanks

My amp is Fender Twin Reverb and have great cleans and OD sounds but I lack distortion sounds,I also have a line 6 DM-4 distortion modeler but I can't get decent distortion tones through twin reverb...I'm planning to buy a 30 watt solid amp just for distortion tones like line 6 spider 2 or get another pedal that would give better distortion through my amp,which option could be better,I'll appreciate your comments and recommendations about spider 2 and which distortion pedal could be purchased...thanx everyone...

I posted a thread once what guitar had nice sounding stock pickups i got alot of people that said quot;ibanezquot; i got a set from and RG V7, V8 and the S1. I put em in my guitar and i was bumbed how bad they sounded. When i wont the auction i bid on 2 because i didnt think ide win em both. Of of the other auctions was a V7 i had to get it.

after 8 long years ive gotten sick of the vintage rails in the neck position of my fender strat plus.tried it in the middle and hated it.the gold lace is there temporarily as i hate it as well.even thow its double bladed,sounds very thin and not middy enough.
very piercing on the high notes.too shrill.
