I want to install a Duncan 4 conductor humbucker into my PRS Custom 24.
The guitar has has the 5-way rotary switch with the circuit board. I only wish to install a duncan Bridge pickup and keep the PRS neck pickup. It is unclear to me if I have to flip the pickup 180 degrees with the pole pieces facing the neck instead of the bridge. Is there a schematic for this installation? Any help at all would be appreciated...

Is truss adjust a must??
I was lowering the action on my LP Studio and now its low like I love it, but Im getting a Ping sound where I believe Im fretting out on the high frets. Should I adjust the truss rod? Im guessing a little forward curve is what it needs. If Im correct, which way to turn it? Thanks!

Thinking of a new acoustic... Rainsong
Does anyone have one? No wood whatsoever! It is made of graphite. It has very cool tone... clean, almost bell-like. They are virtually indestructible and will not go out of tune... ever. It has been a while since I played one. I will be in the area next week to see a dealer.

HBs to emphasize the airiness and twang of a full hollowbody
I went to GC yesterday with a buddy to buy his first electric (he's been playing acoustic for about 10 years). He writes and plays mostly alt-country stuff, so I, of course, started out by putting several Teles in his hands. He liked the sound, but really felt himself gravitating towards the looks of the Ibanez Artcore stuff on the wall. After warning him of the potential muddy pitfalls of humbuckers for the sort of music he plays, we set about the task of finding the brightest, liveliest Jazzbox in the joint. And I think we did. But he's already wondering about swapping out the pups and was asking which ones he should get.

Analyzing Angus
Maybe I'm just hearing things but...I was just listening to quot;Poweragequot; and there are few times where Angus gets this tone that sounds...almost like burning wood(?). It's compressed, not distorted, but so damn fat and different. It is NOT his normal tone. I can't tell whether he's in the neck or bridge or what's rolled back, but it is very unique. Specifically, I hear it at these points:

New Pink/Fuscia JB for sale/trade
New JB in case. It's pink(looks more like fuscia to me) Im thinking this is worth $50-$80, or I'll trade, I'm interested in Jaguar neck pickups and Dimarzio pro track and Super Distortion S for bridge.

would i like the CC?
I did some reading here and it seems that the custom-custom is just a custom with a different magnet?
I have a alnico II loaded gibson classic 57 that i can take the magnet out of?
