Anyone discovered any good cheap sleeper pickups? Maybe stock throw aways from quot;xquot; brand guitar or an inexpensive little known manufacturer that sound good?

I got a chance to play a few things today that I hadn't tried before, which is always nifty:
First, a Krank Revolution 100 Head. I really liked it. It says something to the effect of quot;Amp you can play with no effectsquot; and I could see myself playing it with no effects... well, maybe a reverb. In all fairness, I could play a lot of amps with no effects. I didn't turn up too loudly, but got some air moving. It had more gain than I could ever probably use, and depending on the settings and the amount of gain, it did a convincing vintage rock sound as well as the crushing modern high gain sound. The real secret to the gain channel, IMO, was the presence knob. It changed the character of the sound COMPLETELY with just a little tweaking. The clean channel was also top notch. I would love to own this amp. Played a ESP Viper 30th Ann. with EMG's. A lot of amp, but a hefty price tag too - $1600 for the head.

I found one for about 645 dollars! Isn't this almost a steal at that price?? The seller says the reason why it's so cheap is because there's a little problem with the relay of the amp, but he says it can be fixed pretty cheap..is this true?

Recently i started to use more my peavey guitar but for some reason i tune it a semitone down you know is Eb and i got a weird buzz in the 22th fret but only when i bend it up i guess a 1/2 up or more...
I have think of every reason and try everything except changing strings ??? i thought that it was the low tuning but when i got it back to normal tuning the buzz stayed.

OK..I sold off most of my peds when I went with the Line6 there for a bit...but I'm going back to my Rivera and a couple stompers...

i have a line 6 pod 2.0 box manuel cd ac adapter included up fopr trade....also a longboard with wah/volume pedal that goes with it

I recently started looking for a chorus pedal to recreate the sound I got in the mid-eighties before I foolishly sold off my pedals and started messing with rack stuff. Back then I had a Boss CE-2, little sky-blue 2-knob box - couldn't be simpler.

Thinking about trying one out on my Kramer. Anyone have any experience with them?
