Tremolo question
Here's a newb question: How exactly do you make those high pitch squeals and screams with a tremolo system? Sorry if this question is too complicated.

upgrading pups in carvin dc127
Hi. I would like to change out the stock carvin humbuckers (basic neck, SD bridge) Especially the nasally bridge pup. The guitar has an alder body with quilted maple top, maple neck with ebony fretboard, dual coil splits and a phase switch. It has passive electronics not the carvin active setup. It plays
beautifully but needs better tone. Tend to use it for heavier or more agressive songs but versatility is important for this guitar

Waiting on gear sucks....
I've got a bunch of parts ordered from various outfits and I'm just sitting here waiting. As soon as I get these chassis' in, I can get the faceplates cut and be able to give out some rather accurate measurements to the guy I am working with on the heads and combos.

Duncan Distortion...a disappointment
Dropped a SH-6b Distortion into my fat strat bridge last night but am not happy about it. Have an Invader in my Epi Les Paul that has that thick, warm and heavy tone and am very satisfied. Wanted something similar but a little brighter in the fat strat so I picked up the Distortion. This humbucker sounds like Mud on Mud all the way through. The Invader has more tone than this thing! I own 3 different Duncans and am happy with all of them. This is my first disappointment. I pulled out the SH-6 and dropped in an old DiMarzio Super Distortion in the bridge. The DiMarzio smokes the Duncan. Guess I'll go on ebay to dump this pup. Too bad!

pickups amp; feedback
with pickups taking many many measures to eliminate feedback and microphony or all that other good stuff, is it making it harder and harder to use feedback as part of your music ( intro to leads and such ) ?

F/s Cheap Soldano T50c!
Hey guys, I lied, the amp is a Yamaha T50c . Okay, so the amp isn't really a Soldano, but it was designed by Mike Soldano before Soldano Amplifications started up and the circuit is nearly identical to the SLO series of amps from Soldano today. In fact, Mike still service these amps and you can ask him to mod it to a modern Soldano! If you know your stuff and have the time, parts, schematics, you can mod it yourself. It is a 50 watt combo amp with 2 6l6 power tubes and 7 12ax7 preamp tubes. This amp is a 2 channel amp with separate EQs, Preamp, MV and reverb (tube reverb) for each channel with a bright switch in the clean channel for those sweet fender tones and a shared presence knob. You can also adjust the level of the effects loop from the back. The amp comes with the stock Celestion speaker and the original foot pedal as well as a CD with the original amp schematics on it. The amp is very clean with no tears in the tolex, i would give it 8.5 out of 10 in terms of condition. It has been serviced 3 months ago by a Soldano tech in NY and it has been retubed and biased with 2 JJs 6l6 power tubes and 7 electro harmonix 12ax7s preamp tubes. This amp is a very rare and desirable and is a killer sleeper amp! Just read these reviews from harmony central from : localhost/am asking for $450 shipping paypal fee. Will considered trades with guitars.
Please PM me for pics! This is the next best thing to a real Soldano amp for more than half the price!

Help!!! Stratocaster HH pickups, emo/rock/pop
Now I have a Custom in my HH strat and I dont like it very much. I`m looking for a warmer tone. I have read that Custom Custom would be killer but I`m quite afraid of its` not so good bottom because I use palm muted chords sometimes.

I'm looking for APH-2 pickups in either zebra or chrome covered. Neck or bridge is fine (or both). For trade, I've got a Dimebucker, 2 Distortions (both bridge), a CC, Quarter Pound Flat, and 3 Jackson humbuckers. Also willing to buy. Thanks a bunch.

Would you pay $100 more for an amp that came in an ATA case?
After my recent Fed Ex nightmare, I've been thinking. Would the average musician that wants to buy a reasonably priced handwired tube amp be willing to shell out another $80-100 for it to arrive in an ATA shipping case?
