Hey folks, got a FRED in the test axe and liking it - it's what I wanted the Demon to be, whereas the demon was a bit shrill. What I like about the FRED is that clean it sparkles, you can play clean all day amp; it is just gorgeous.

I took some still images of all my guitars then added a sound clip of each guitar, and the pickup in it. Combined em all together into a video kinda thing.

A discussion with Nuni got me to thinking. Mine needs work. How do you do yours, and how did you develop it?

Has anyone tried the Hot pickups for Telecaster? I know that hotter pickups can sometimes tame a guitar that sounds too bright. My Ash Tele clone is just that - very bright-sounding, almost painfully so, even with the A2Pro pups. So I'm seeking advice on the STL-2/STR-2 Hot Tele pickups - has anyone tried them? And to what result?

I've been using a regular JB in my strat for years and as of late am doing a whole pickup research thing, replacing various pickups in other guitars, etc. I noticed that the pole pieces don't line up on the bottom strings and wanted to know if anyone (by actual experience) has gone from the regular version of their particular pickup to a trembucker version and noticed a better low end response/sustain? Or, if it's not a big deal. Thanks!
