I am looking for a good over the top compression pedal. The analog man and carl martin are the ones i've been looking at. I have a line 6 MM-4 that i will trade for something. I also have a tech 21 Tri AC sansamp. Both are in near perfect condition. If anybody would like to make me a trade for either of those i'll be grateful. Also if anybody has a TS-808 or some kind of modified tubescreamer, we might be able to make a deal. I also have some cash if the trade is not enough.

I'm in the process of building up my Charvel again after paint and don't know what pickups to use. Dual buckers, alder body, maple neck, rw board, has a floyd. I'm going to pick up a seriously high gain amp after the guitar is built up as well (most likely a XXX) so I need some pretty mellow pickups to not kill the amp with a lot of input. They gotta clean up nicely, too.

New to this forum. Can anyone tell me if there are any sound samples with just the seymour duncan booster pushing a tube amp (no other effects). I'm looking for a booster to push my Working Dog 40 watt tube to break up at lower volumes. Thanks. Also, looking for something with true bypass and that ideally does not color the signal at all.

I know there was just a thread on Cort guitars and most seemed to think they where desent? My Father just emailed me this pic of his buddies Cort LP. and wanted to know if I was interested? I offered $100 for it. But the guy said that's to low? All I know about this thing is it's set neck, Heavy and has a Brass nut. I don't know if it's a real Maple cap? or if it's even Mahogany? There's no serial # to date it or model #. Can anyone Clue me in on this?

im getting horrible fret buzz on the lowest three strings on my lp. its definitely because i changed from regular 10 guage strings to the 10-52's. but idk how to fix it. ive been raising the bass side of the abr1, but to very little changes. i think i might have put it in backwards but i dont think that makes a difference to the buzz just the intonation. anyways i have it in so the slot headed screws are facing towards the pickups. i think thats right... anyways, how should i get rid of this? its really annoying. i used to get absolutely none and now i get this annoying buzz on basically alot of the frets on those 3 strings. (D, A, E) should i just bring it in to the tech? if its something simple i dont want to have brought it to him for something i could have done... any ideas?

Should I go for a Black Gibson Explorer with a pair of EMG 81s and a hardshell case for $599?

i need a new amp, i dont have a lot of money, want expirience of building amp. now that ive gotten to the point, ive got to ramble (in the talking way). i want the classic fender cleans. maybe a 2 or 3 channel amp, with a good mesa boogie rectifier type distortion. dont know if this will work. but you know, i could deal with a good clean and add a distortion pedal, i dunno. how realistic is this? i have no idea what im doing when it comes to electronics . how expensive is it? how hard? etc. would it sound as good as buying a fender twin reverb? what are some usefull links for this subject? HELP ME OUT, please. (Mr. Scott F, maybe?)

Hey guys. It's about time for another restringing job on my Jackson and I had a question for those of you that have used a Floyd and DR strings. I just recently tried out some DR strings for my Peavey and loved them, and I want to try them out on my Jackson. But I remember reading in the package that you should crimp the strings in front of your cut to make sure they don't unravel. This, of course, is impossible to do with a Floyd (cutting the balls of the strings to insert in the bridge). I was wondering if any of you had any experience with DR strings in a Floyd or if anyone had ever experienced the problem of them unwinding.

Okay, here's the deal. Right now I'm playing a Gibson Firebird V as my main (and only) guitar and now I've gotten a good deal on a Epi. Flying V. Thought it could work okay as a backup guitar. Now, I suspect the pups on the epi may not really be equal to the firebird either in sound or output so I just though I'd ask you guys what kind of fullsize humbucker I could put in there to at least get around the same output as the firebird. Some kind of vintage style low output hb maybe? Any suggestions? Is there a pup that could even get me close?

I need to find a small mixer for live work.

Mine just seems off...I only played it for a few minutes before completley upgrading everything through the monkey...but it seems to have some odd quot;soundsquot; now..just extra things...static that follows notes...a somewhat hollow effect to all sounds. A friend mentioned he didnt like his after the update and ended up returning it to original settings. Anyone else see this and what did you do about it? Thanks
