....Feels like I took a big beautiful weekend, and blew it shopping for pickups! This decision was almost as hard as shopping for a digital camera!

I've been wanting one of these forever, and every now and again there's one on Ebay.

what tubes originally came in a 2204? (year:1982) i have 6550's in mine now . are these good enough ? they seem to be .

Just curious. I may make one. I hear the Jazz is the most articulate, so I'd be interested in hearing a screw coil Jazz paired with a 59 screw coil and then maybe try different mags with it.

i put a duncan 59 in a les paul type very light guitar...washburn idol,but it cant cut it for heavy distortion lead solos....too thin sounding on the high E and B strings and over bassy on the low strings.
i need an alternative pickup for the neck,maybe a air norton?

I have an older Peavey Envoy 110 amplifier. Presently I am using the Peavey Foot Switch that I bought at the time of purchase. I have notice the newer version of the same footswitch have LEDs which indicate off/on of both channel and reverb buttons.

Saw a guy using a little Traynor amp last night.... one of those 20 watt special editions with a Greenback speaker.... Red covering... Man did that thing sound great out front.... How many of you out there own this model?

Here's my dilema. I really want to have a guitar that is a copy of Paul Gilberts pink Destroyer/Iceman guitar. I know they never produced these so I'm gonna have to build it. Now I'm thinking I'll just buy some mohogany and have someone cut the body for me but the neck is a problem. Does anyone offer Neck through body style necks for sale? I want to have an Ibanez copy head stock and have it be routed for two humbuckers with a floyd rose. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

These axes that have HB and Stacked humbucker in the middle and neck. Do you ever use the middle pickup alone? How much do you use each of the three pickups? 75% bridge, 20% neck, 5% middle? I'm guessin' that the middle and neck are rhythm pups most of the time.

is there a standard setting on the pole pieces on these pickups..i have a les paul with a JB/59 w/covers and wanted to know ive been tinking with adjusting them..how should they be set?

Time to get new tubes for the bassman...any recommendations that'll keep it clean until the volume goes up to seven, and respond well to my pedal's distortion?

Has anybody had any experience with It looks like they've got some good hardware and stuff, but the prices seem too good to be true. How's the quality of their products? Thanks.

I've been playing guitar for about 2 years now and started off on a Peavey Reactor (damn fine tele clone) and decided I needed something better...I bought a lefty Epiphone G-400 SG that came stock w/grovers for a little under 400. As i'm sure you all know, Epiphone pickups are garbage so i took them out, and being the Duncan devotee that I am (duncans in ALL 5 of my instruments) I bought a set of '59s. I had them in for a few weeks and liked them but the bridge pickup lacked the raunch i need, the cleans are great but i wanted more out of the dirty sound. I went out on a limb and purchased the Dimebucker...I will say; I have never given Pantera a real listen and strayed far away from Damageplan, hell, I'd never listened to Dime's playing before he died. He was a good guitarist but not my cup of tea. Anyway, back on track, the first thing I noticed was the impressive clean tones, it's a little too shimmery on its own but with both pickups on you get a nice blend of shimmer and balls. Dirty, it is the most amazing pickup i've ever heard (and I've owned most of Duncans pickups). Every nuance of my playing styles came through very well and the articulation of the individual strings in dirty chords is phenomenal. I play everything (except metal and country), from Weezer to Coamp;Ca to the Pixies. The best combo of pickups i've ever used as the SH-13 and the SH-1n. Everyone should try it. Does anyone know if they are going to discontinue the SH-13? If so I should buy them up now, eh? Does anyone else use this pickup and if so what do you use in the neck? Oh yeah, one last thing...pinch harmonics on this pickup kick so much arse...so throaty, I LOVE IT. That is all.

I know this has been brought up before and the search function didn`t exactly answer my question. I have a Avatar cab with 2 Eminence 8 ohm speakers wired up for 16 ohms. I was thinking of getting a combp amp that have speaker outs for a 8 ohm cab. Would I be damaging any thing running a 8 ohm amp into a 16 ohm cab? Does anyone have expeirenec with the Avatar cabs since I was thinking since it has 2 8 ohm speakers that it could be wired to produce 8 ohms. Hope I didn`t confuse anyone.
