is there a standard setting on the pole pieces on these pickups..i have a les paul with a JB/59 w/covers and wanted to know ive been tinking with adjusting them..how should they be set?
I usually set the bridge pickup's polepieces to match the radius of the fingerboard, then adjust the height until it sounds good.
For the neck, I adjust the polepieces to match a staggered strat pickup's poles. It might just be in my head, but it seems to give me a little more clarity and spank from the neck position humbucker, which is something I like in a LP.
