How do you show gridlines on part of a sheet and hide the gridlines on other
parts of the same sheet?

Remove all the gridlines
(Tools|Options|View tab)

Then add borders where you want them:

Select some cells and Formatgt;Cellsgt;Patterngt; set to quot;whitequot;.
