TS-9 vs Ts-808
I currently have a TS-9DX and want to trade it or sell it to get an TS-9 or a TS-808. I know what the TS-9 is like, but how does the 808 compare? Whats the real difference? I play blues, rock and country.

Dimarzio for neck pickup!!
In an earlier post i asked for humbucker advice after trying a duncan custom and it making my guitar sound muddy. I got some very helpful advice and even a dimarzio recomendation(thanks for your help ranalli!!). I talked to someone at dimarzio and after much consideration and tone chart readings have decided against the D-sonic. I figuered that with the problems i had with the Sh-5 I was leary about it, it just seemed likley that in that guitar i could be making it into a mud machine. After trying the JB i am going with the SH-6 for the bridge. I think i might however like the right Dimarzio in my guitar. I have noticed a lot of my favorite lead players use them but i am not trying to get any ones tone per say I just want an awsome lead tone for legato phrasing as well as speed picking. I tend to use the bridge pup more for rythym and the neck pup more for solos. The guitar is a guild blues bird. Which is like a les paul only with a non F- holed chambred. I like the specs on the PAF pro and the PAF joe. Any advice on this would be apprecited including other Dimarzios than what i just stated. Oops almost forgot this will be run through a mesa/boogie dual rectifier road king. Thanks a million and god bless.

Dillion guitars ???
What is the quality compared to PRS, Gibson, Epiphone etc... I know they're cheap but sometimes you get gems for imitation prices.

Mesa stock tubes...
...suck!!! On a whim, I replaced the two 12AX7's in my Mesa Walkabout bass amp today. I ordered a pair of JJ's, and boy-howdy! The sound is a ton more defined, clear, higher-quality, everything! I think a set of these might be finding their way into my Marshall in not too long.

New Pickups for Flying-V
Hey. I have a Jackson Flying-V Rhoads and I need help. I need new pickups and some extreme heavy distortion for rhythm and lead. I don't have a sound card for my comp so I can't hear any of the examples. The Screaming Demon looked good but so did the Live Wire Heavy Metal Distortion. Which pickup would sound better at either the neck or bridge position. The best combo I could come up with (by name) was a full shred in front and live wire heavy metal distortion in back. Is that possible? and how would it sound?

Why I'm buying Dimarzios this time
Preamble - this is meant to be *constructive* criticism of Duncan from a longtime past amp; future customer, and no I'm not slagging the tweakers either...tweak on if thats your thing.Well I've been a loyal Duncan fan for a long time - got A2Pro singles in my strat amp; love 'em, got '59s in my Dean amp; love 'em, been using a JB in my test axe amp; it'll go back in when I'm done with the current project. I think Duncan has some magic in their designs and will buy again.
