...suck!!! On a whim, I replaced the two 12AX7's in my Mesa Walkabout bass amp today. I ordered a pair of JJ's, and boy-howdy! The sound is a ton more defined, clear, higher-quality, everything! I think a set of these might be finding their way into my Marshall in not too long.
Hey Tom, I just replaced all 16 tubes in my Triaxis/2:90 rack with JJs and the sucker jumped up and floored me.
This rig always sounded good but my God does it scream now. I have a JCM 800 that is going to get some JJ EL34s and a high gain preamp tube upgrade real soon. Well, maybe not real soon as the JJs for the Mesa set me back a coll two bills and I really want a Rodes K2 mic and a controller for my recording software but the JJs are high up on my list of things to do.
Killer sounding tubes.

So Rob, we are wanting a full review of the JJ's...when's that comming?
When I have played them a bit more. I have 8 channels and 8 power amp voices to go through and a bit of tweaking before I really know what I have.
