What is the quality compared to PRS, Gibson, Epiphone etc... I know they're cheap but sometimes you get gems for imitation prices.
I owned one of their PRS copies and for the money, I'd probably go with a PRS SE or Epiphone. IMO, those brands offer better bang for the buck.
In my experience, Dillion beats a lot of the Epiphones that I've played, though the SE's are pretty good. It all depends on which model of which brand you want and just how much you want to spend. In particular, the Dillion LP Special copy is a real gem!
I scrutinized all the imports for months before choosing Dillion. The only one that came close was Michael Kelly, but that has 22 frets, and I prefer 24. The quality - parts, assembly, details - of the Dillion are far and above its price. They feel and play like guitars worth many times more. And they have great upgrading potential (read: SD pups).

All I know is it's the same factory Tokai uses for it's Korean stuff. I believe Dean and possibly Schecter use the same one. It's supposed to be quot;the bestquot; factory over there.
I have owned 2 and played many, their quality for Korean stuff is better than average but not necessarily extraordinary. They do some neat stuff model wise that you don't always find which is kind of cool.
I had a 56GTLP knock-off that made the rounds through a few hands here and I thought that was a really good guitar, I currently own a '58 V copy of theirs that I love but it isn't perfect. I paid dealer cost on the GT so that was a steal but I went and changed the bridge, tuners and pups to higher quality pieces. The V was $579 with the hardshell case, only thing I have done was change the pups so far, I'll probably change the pots and switch at some point too. The neck is great but if it needs adjustment I'll have to heat press it because it is at the end of it's adjustment range. I have never owned a guitar that had reached it's limits but it isn't uncommon. Most of the Dillions I have played are nice and for the money good deals but I have played what were obviously a few quot;oopsquot; as well. For the most part figure they are close to Epi, the MIK Tokai and that ilk. I wouldn't compare them to PRS or Gibson generally though when I first got that GT I swore it was every bit a good as most Gibsons, once the initial euphoria of such a great deal wore off I realized it was just a very nice copy. I think they're close to what a lot of the better MIJ Lawsuit stuff was in the 70's, same kind of idea, good guitars, excellent deals.
Wow--that's what I like about this site. It may take a YEAR to get an answer, but you get one, LOL!!!
At the time I was thinking of selling my 77 Gibson doubleneck and replacing it with the Dillon, but I wised up.
I played one of the Brian May copies and I thought the fretwork, pickguard, inlay, tuners and nut were of poor quality. Kind of strange considering it was rather expensive.
I saw Dillion LP copy at the local store that came in used.... I picked it up and right away it felt better then my Epi... i wanted to buy it but a guy working at the store had a hold on it and i assume he still has it.... I think he got it for around $300 Canadian..... It felt heavier then my epi and the fret work and the inlays and the binding all seemed less cheap then an Epiphone...
where to get them?
How do they compare to Agile?
Many may hate me for saying this, but Ed Roman's is good for Dillion. Go on their site, click on Guitars, Economy, Dillion, and you can see the stock he has. You can also email Dillion directly and ask for a dealer near you.
Not familiar with Agile.
Good luck,
