Jimi Hendrix's Earth Blues; Dig it.
Heres a rough take and mix on a cover of Jimi Hendrix's Earth Blues ( off Hendrix Box Set Disc 4) ;
Don't worry it will be fixed; Please critique... But remember; It is done with DI guitar guitarrig and amplitube; no mics; no nothing as usual. Drums in Reason.

Component quality and durability in amps
Since i plan on getting that 65 twin reissue, i might be considering swapping out the electrolytics and the tone caps when the warranty is up. I hear they're really small and sensitive and could be prone to damage over time, unlike heavy duty sprague or xicon caps.

Is it me or the less output for the most gain = tighter sound?
I remember playing my Charvel with the Jackson J50BC humbucker on my buddy's JCM800 and it had a tighter sound than he had with his Tone Zone (much more output). It was still a pretty open sound (JCM800...) but it was noticeable. Is that a normal thing, or did it just have to do with the pickup in question (the JC50BC isn't a particularly tight pickup usually)?

Blues Jr. Mod
I finally got to do Bill M's mods to my Blues Jr. and it sounds great. More bass amp; midrange response and the treble seems smoother to my ears. There is also more clean headroom. I didn't do the adjustable bias mod, but I did swap out a couple of resistors to drop the voltage at the power tubes so it runs cooler.The mods are pretty simple and very inexpensive, here is the link to the info: from : localhost/mywebpages.comcast.net/machrone/bluesjunior.htm If you like your Blues Jr. and would like it to sound even better check it out.......Joe
