I'll find more reputable pricing, but for now, the most expensive bass on ebay is sitting at $5k, while the most expensive violin is $6,143.

The strings aren't really comparable, either. You're gonna replace violin strings far more than bass strings.

BTW, i'm not a violinist but they say you have to drop at least $10K for a decent violin

My dad has a couple violins, and he told me once that one of the bows was worth more than his car
