So my Custom had this mangy 4-con wire on it that had had about a foot of shield stripped away and a wire extending the bare so it could be long enough to get to my pots.
I took a 4-con off of the Aph-1 I'm selling and put it on the Custom...holy crap!
It is just REALLY quiet now, all the hissing and buzzing and popping and crackling I had are GONE. This last time my custom was this quiet I was using a noise gate.
Just goes to show you if you have a little extra wire lying around, it can be worth it if you suffer from noise.
