I have the following guitar with Duncan Designed Lipstick style pickups:

from : localhost/really like to replace the pickups but I seem to have limited options because the lipsticks are much longer than a standard humbucker, hence the holes for mounting the pickups won't match up. Short of getting a new pickguard made, do I have any options available?

There are always options...

Do you have a specific bucker in mind that you want or are you just un happy with the pickups in the guitar now?

Not really happy with what's in it now. The guitar is chambered so I know a lot of pickups are going to sound really different in this guitar than they would in a solid body guitar. I was thinking something along the lines of a JB and '59 style combo.

well...seeing that the bridge pickup is half mounted out of the guardplate Im not sure what to do yet...

Yeah, it wouldn't bother me so much if there is more space there than needed. However, I layed a standard humbucker across the top and they aren't even close. A standard humbuck has the mounting holes about 3 1/16 apart and this is at 3 1/4. I have a feeling that if I want to put something else in, I'm going to have to get a new pickguard, but I figure that's going to run about $50, which isn't a big deal, but I'd rather not have to replace the pickguard if I can avoid it.
