still looking for a good practice amp i can run through my peavey XXX 112 combo's speakers/effects loop. the orange crush 15r i'm looking at only has a headphone out, though. is it possible/feasible to run the amp through the headphone out? any input on this or just the orange crush series in general is appreciated, thanks.

59 vs Seth Lover
I'm building a semi-hollow body guitar with a mahogony back and maple top and want a nice smooth vintage sound. I was thinking of either using 59's or going with Seth Lover's. Would I have to worry about feedback using Seth's because they are un-potted?

What would a humbucker sound like with only 6 poles?
Say you take 3 out from the top bobbin near the neck, and you take the high end side out from the bridge bobbin? Would it sound like an over wound single coil? or a P90 or somthing?

Bridge and Neck questions
I have a '97 American Standard Strat that needs a new neck and bridge. I ordered a new bridge from Fender, and I got a used neck from a 2000 Am. Standard Strat. I have 2 questions for all you gurus: 1. Does the bridge just bolt into the body, or is there something special that has to be done that will require a guitar tech (it's a tremolo bridge by the way)? 2. The neck is pre-drilled with holes, so can I just bolt the neck into the body, or should that task be handled by a professional also? (as far as angle adjustment or straightness or whatever) Does any glue go between the body and the neck? Will a 2000 neck even work with my '97 body?? I want my guitar to be in good playing condition when I'm done so if you suggest taking it to a tech I won't mind. Thanks in advance for all your advice!

Its been a long time coming... I'm getting a Hamer
I've done some thinking as to what kind of a guitar I needed to fill lead duties in my band and decided that I'm going to give humbuckers a try again (I figured most of my favorite artists got sweet leads from humbuckers, so that just might be the way to go)

If I were to get a POD..
Hey guys, I'm looking at either getting a POD or new tube amp of some sort. I just realized that I'm not goig to want to lug the only amp i have from school to home on the weekends, for when i do come home. I was thinking of either leaving my Roland at my house and using a POD at school, or getting a tube amp and brng my Roland to school. But i doubt I'm going to get a tube amp, why spend so much when I'll hardly use it. If I were to get a POD, I'd prolly get the latest and best model, which ever one that is. But I would need a speaker cabinet for it for sure. Now I'm not a big techy, so would I be able to just directly plug the POD into the speaker cab or would I need some sort of device in the middle, like a power amp or preamp or something? I'm not too familiar with PODS, although I have recorded through one for my audition CD's, but i didn't pay any attention to how it was setup. Thanks for the info!
