Martin!
Sitting all dirty and gunked up, a Martin Shenandoah D-1932. Now the Shenandoahs were made years ago, early 80's into mid 90's. parts from japan, assembled and finished in USA. I'm not sure how that was arranged and why that worked out but you couldn't tell the difference right next to another martin. Apparently it's USA built, but from woods from japan? Again, not sure how that worked. Every bit as good as the other Martins I've played and actually sounded better than the others in the room. It even has cool tortoise shell binding around the neck, body, and headstock. It needed some cleaning and love but there is nothing wrong with it structurally, no damage, and no fret wear even. It was obviously a trade in or sale from someone that didn't use it.
Get this, $275 is what I paid. There's no way around it, that's a steal for this guitar. And it's a beauty too. I'll get pictures in the morning.
I demand pictures!!!!!
Sounds like a great buy! congrats...
lol that's sounds like something i would do go for a pedal come home with a guitar hahaha...but not an acoustic.

sounds like something I did....
Went in for a pack of elixirs a few hours before a gig... Came out with my Taylor 414...
Those old Shenandaoh's were really underrated.Good score.
Even though it sounds a lot better than my current acoustic I may sell it for a profit. I do this often, pick up a used guitar cheap and resell it for a couple hundred more. Works out nice if you know what to look for. There will always be Martins and Taylors in my future though! I need to work out my current predicament with my electrics first.
