And people complain Gibsons are overpriced On a serious note...I've never understood all the collectible BS for guitars..yeah the old ones are REALLY nice guitars..I've played some very nice Vintage instruments....but 3/4 of a MILLION dollars? Ridiculous.

I only see it as a second-hand Strat with nice old resonant wood.

offer him $600 if it dont sell; its a used american strat. drive on.

Even if it is legit, do they really think Ebay is the best way to sell something like that?

yeah, definitely- theres always a person willing to pay more than the guy before them

Read the questions... one guy asked that given the price of the guitar if the seller would pay shipping. If you are going to spend $750,000 on a guitar, what's another $150 for shipping? Come one, really. Most of that is going to pay for the insurance anyway.

Anyway, I agree, I could care less if Jimi Hendrix played it. I've never been a big Hendriz fan (although I do acknowledge what he did for Rock n roll). But, someone out there is dumb enough to pay for it. I think the rock n roll hall of fame should buy it, personally.

How could you justify $750,000 on a guitar. I wouldn't even dare play it and as much as guitars look cool I wouldn't buy one just to look at it.

Hey Guys.
Did you read the description?

It was USED on Hey Joe and Foxy Lady... That's saying something... Saying everything...

Hendrix is pretty much the founding father of rock. That strat is going to be priceless in 100 years. Like a Mozart's instrument.

It's not exactly the same guitar in some of the photos that Jimi is using on stage.... The strat Jimi has in his hands has some damage to the top horn that is not on the guitar being sold.... They claim it was blackened in with Marker..... I guess it could of been

I can only wonder if it is a real Jimi Strat

WhoFan

Woooooowww !

Whatever tit owned it last strung it up the wrong way

^That was probably our boy Jimi who strung it that way...seeing as that's how he played.

Most definitely.

eBay allows the maximum possible exposure for the minimum cost, and anybody that´s really interested in this guitar has almost certainly already made a backdoor offer, regardless of where they´re from.... ANd those that wanted this exact guitar for a while (the quot;Mega Hendrix collectorsquot;) and have the funds to purchase it almost certainly knew where it was anyway.....

I´d be interested to see how much this one actually flies for

I suppose ebay is a good way to get exposure, but I don't understand how someone in, say, Britain could even think about dropping 3/4 of a million dollars on a guitar they've never seen in person.

(hendrix fan here) I thought the rolling eye smiley would give it away

^See, this is what happens when i'm realatively new to a forum and don't know who knows what they're talking about and who doesn't.
