...Les Paul or similar H-H guitars with 4 knobs.
Mine is probably not the winner but somebody has to break the ice:
Former neck volume pot = NOW master volume
Former neck tone pot = NOW Spin-A-Split for bridge pu
Former bridge volume pot = NOW bridge tone pot with .0068 cap
Former bridge tone pot = neck tone pot with .022 cap
PURPOSE? We all might get some new ideas from this...
I was thinking about this for my ElDegas project... Using EMG's and having 2 vol, an EXP control and an SPC control and since it has a hole for a mini-toggle, either the Phase reversal or Gain boost. Could also sub the spc for the Afterburner...
Neck volume pot: 500K Volume for Neck pickup north coil
Neck tone pot: 500K Volume for Neck pickup south coil
Brigde volume pot: 500K Volume for Brigde pickup north coil
Brigde tone pot: 500K Volume for Brigde pickup south coil
Built-in quot;moddedquot; DS1 distortion
Former neck volume pot = NOW master volume
Former neck tone pot = Distortion
Former bridge volume pot = Tone
Former bridge tone pot = On/Off pull pot.
Mine will lose... but oh well. I like it.
Schecter, 2 Hums 3 way switch
Conventional pots- (tone, volume)
3 way dpdt- split, full, parallel Bridge
2 way dpdt- phase switching between pickups.
coming soon- another 3 way for the neck
slade
EDIT- just reallized you said 4 pot... but this should work anyways. Besides, someone will find a better idea for you to do
my bich was pretty creative...
3 pos switch
Master/Bridge Vol
Neck Vol
Master Tone
2 Preamp Vol
6 Pos Varitone
2 coil tap switches
phase switch
2 preamp on/off switches
I always thought that if I ever had a 4-pot guitar, it would be fun to do:
Master volume
Master Tone
Dial-a-splits on both pups. (My variation of spin-a-split.)

Is there a difference between your dial-a-split and spin-a-split?

This one's on the bubble -- it's definitely not your typical wiring scheme but on the other hand, it's so well-known at this point that I don't know if it quite qualifies as quot;avant gardequot; or nutty. I'll let the other judges decide...
personaly, I'll take an h-h 1 hum 1 volume 3 way guitar
and is 'avant garde'?

Yeah it was Moser's. Didn't mean to imply it was mine if that's the way it was taken.
