I just bought an amp that was supposed to have a Celestion Vintage 30 in it but the speaker says -Marshall G12 Vintage by Celestion - on it . is this really a Vintage 30? or is it an altered design for Marshall like I've been told elswhere?
My guess is that it's altered or something entirely different...usually a V30 will say quot;Vintage 30quot;. That may be good or it may be bad, depends on your taste.
Relax. Marshall just has Celestion put on Marshall specific labels. The only difference between the quot;Celestion Vintage 30quot; and the quot;Marshall Vintagequot; is the label and usually the color of the frame. They are indeed one and the same.
