Agile or Epiphone
I just want a cheap guitar with humbuckers to mod. I want something that is gonna play good and be built good. I don't have much money right now. I checked out some of the Agiles and they are nice. But I am kind of wanting an sg which they dont make. I just need to get something so i can finaly put that custom shop pickup in it and hear what it sounds like haha. All my other guitars I was working on getting fell through.

Brazillian vs. other rosewood
Is it really worth spending the extra money on a Warmoth Brazillian rosewood fretboard?

Sprung For More Vintage 30s Today...Out With The Neo!
My matching Vox AD 2x12 cab I use with my Valvetronix 120 head has the Celestion Neodyium speakers that I'm replacing...I Love V30s and these Neo-Dogs I feel are too tight and too bright and lacks the correct feel I need from my cab and speakers...

Just bought a Blues Junior!
I've been using a Hot Rod Deluxe and getting dirt by running pedals into the clean channel. I don't care for the HRD's pre-amp distortion, and cranking it up for power amp distortion is not an option (WAY TOO LOUD). I'm tired of using an amp that I can't turn up past 3 or so, even with a drummer. Last week I tried a Blues Junior, and loved it. I've found that I prefer running an OD or Distortion pedal into a slightly dirty amp rather than into a squeaky clean amp. The BJr. cranked up sounds much nicer than the HRD on 3. I don't need my clean sound to be perfectly clean, so the BJr. will do nicely.

strat pickups
i am currently building a strat with an ash body and rosewood/maple neck. it will have a h/s/s setup. i was wonderin what would be the best pickup combo to get a classic rock sound like led zeppelin and to also be able to get a southern rock sound like lynyrd skynyrd or the allman brothers. thanks.
