I don't know how I survived so long with such a ratty and disorganized pedalboard. My power source used to be 5 or 6 AC adapters plugged into a powerstrip. Now my pedals are more securly fastened to my board and powered by a Voodoo Labs PP2!! It's so much cleaner and organized now!! I wish I had pics of it before the makeover.

Hey. My band just finished off a little demo we've been working on. This was recorded in my basement with about $300 worth of gear and a computer. Enjoy!Boris - Stand Up: from : localhost/www.digitalsoundplanet.com/Me..._000026881.mp3

Help identifying my pickup
I have an unidentified low output gibson pickup without any identification, has a output of 7k or so, it resembles a dirty finger pickup and im pretty sure it was a stock pickup between the 70s-80s. Any idea what it might be?

Reviews for the Distortion and Invader
Hey what's up bros! A bit overdue, here're my reviews of the Duncans I recently bought:
Duncan Distortion [bridge] - A kick ass p/u for any kind of rock. It's really hot, and you can hear your signal being pushed harder and hotter through your amp. My caveat with it was that while it was a much hotter pickup, it didn't really make my tone crunchier, which is what I thought was looking for. So, instead of returning it, I moved it to the middle position, which will take us to the next review:

Changing magnet to Alnico5 in Duncan Distortion
Does changing the magnet in a Duncan Distortion to an Alnico 5 basically give you a Duncan JB? (I've heard that before).

How to replace magnets?
How do I replace the magnets in a humbucker? Like if the pickup has one grade of alnico and I have the magnet of another I want to try, how do I do it?

Pics of New Strat
Here are some pictures of my new strat, '05 Standard Fat Strat, Brown Sunburst.
**Note** The red burst ring from the pictures doesn't look red at all when face to face with the guitar. Also the light grain really shows well too. Check out my wife's handy work too, she's quite the quilter!damint..I just love a good strat

SD-59 humbucker polepiece screws too long?
Hi,
I have a SD-59 pup i wanna install in my custom shop wolfgang. The polepieces screws stick out of the bottom farther than the ears. When i put the pickup in the cavity, the pole piece screws hit the bottom of the cavity first and it makes the pickup teeter totter. Can i cut some length off of the polepiece screws somehow? What could i use?

I'll be damned...
After reading what gearjoneser had to say about the small ss marshall he found so cheap(and has since sold) it got me thinking I should plug in mine again and see if I couldn't get a good sound from it- afterall they're from the same era. Just based on what I've learned about tone from this forum I ended up getting possibly the best non-tube sound I've ever heard! It sounded so thin and buzzy before but as soon as I backed off the gain, turned the master volume up to get the speaker moving, and put the mids way up it REALLY started sounding huge and totally had the classic rock marshall vibe goin. It doesn't have nearly as much gain as I'm used to but I stuck my boss os-2 in front of it set mostly to overdrive(about 9'oclock) with drive at about 12 o'clock tone at 10 o'clock and level at about 11 o'clock and it had what I would consider quot;just enough.quot; You could pull a pinch harmonic for example but it wasn't effortless, and it had just barely enough to chug. It's also really responsive to picking... way more so than I would have expected.
