I want to install a Duncan 4 conductor humbucker into my PRS Custom 24.
The guitar has has the 5-way rotary switch with the circuit board. I only wish to install a duncan Bridge pickup and keep the PRS neck pickup. It is unclear to me if I have to flip the pickup 180 degrees with the pole pieces facing the neck instead of the bridge. Is there a schematic for this installation? Any help at all would be appreciated...

Anyone compare the JB to a BBQ???
I can't see spending $200 for the new Shredder pickup which is based on the JB but I was tempted. I am sure it is nice. However, I am thinking of going back to the stand by - JB/59.

pickup installation help
I'm replacing the pickups in my Ibanez SZ, thought I'd do it myself because the only guitar tech in town seriously overcharges. could use any help/suggestions possible, as I'v never soldered or put in new p/ups before. I dont want to split the coils or anything complicated like that, just replace the old ones with the new. any input is helpful, and possibly a diagram if anyone has done this with an ibanez before. it has i believe two volume pots and a mix pot, with a three way switch. thanks for your help.

Finished The Jazz/59N Hybrid
Pretty cool combination in the Neck of my Love Rock/Les Paul....I just switched the slug coil out and used the Jazz's instead and went back to A5..Great tone and added harmonics!

Blues Saraceno is in!!!
I put the Blues Saraceno in the Jackson today. Major, major improvement over the HB-102. Just a more focused, smoother sounding pickup...with no mud!!

Pickup recommendations for custom guitar
Hey guys, I'm in the planning stages of building a 6 string Warmoth Baritone guitar as a companion for my ESP 7 stringer. The body will be swamp ash, and then neck is more than likely gonna be maple with an ebony board. The baritone necks from Warmoth are 28 5/8quot; scale length so I'm not too sure what to expect as far as not clarity and frequency response goes. I'd like to get some pu's that can compete with the Invader in my 7 string, but the longer scale will more than likely bring out some huge bass response so I'm considering other choices. I play what could be considered metal with elements of thrash, death, and maybe even hardcore as far as tone goes. From the bridge I need something high output that is thick, fairly easy on the highs, and still has cut to dish out. For the neck slot, I'd like something articulate, and good with gainy leads. I'm not too worried about a pristine clean sound seeing as I set up for a clean sound that's more on the edge of clean to begin with anyways.

quot;Wonderin'quot; jam over a band I recorded w/ VOX
This is a song by Javine a band I recorded at school; a very talented funk, blues, jazz rock band. They're guitarist was / is a crazy good player... BUT he wasnt they're for the initial tracking and an idiot friend of ours managed to delete the entire session (this was about a year ago) anyway... The song is by Keyboardist Singer Tony Gallichio. Check it out.YES they're are vocals on this... rip this off and thou shalt suffer a miserable death of thousands of insects eating you alive slowly for over 1000 years.

Pickup choice for tuned down thrash/death metal
Hi all, I'm trying to decide on a pickup choice for a thrash/death project. Seen some excellent advice on this forum so I thought I'd give it a shot.

Problem With High Pitched Whine
This has been happening since I got my 5150 head used, and I'm finally getting pretty sick of it. On both channels, it has this high pitched whine. It's not very loud, and playing covers it up for the most part, but I can't imagine this will fare very well when recording. I know it's in the preamp, as it doesn't have the sound when I'm plugged into the FX loop return. It isn't my guitar or pedals; it does it with nothing plugged in. It also isn't just the head; it stops if I unplug the speaker cable.

FS/ Maybe trade Lefty Kramer Classic 1
Just the Neck, Body, and Plate. The body is almost Mint. The neck has been sanded by some joker and there is 2 small gouges, but they're hardly noticable and as you can see, I had a real hard time capturing them in a pic. They are Both NOS from the fire sale when the original Kramer Plant went under. They are a perfect match according to Vintage Kramer and alot of the Kramer maniacs I know. This is a RARE one. Actually, it's the only one that's known to exist.

FS: Modded Boss DD-3
I have a modded Boss DD-3 delay pedal for sale. I need to trim down on the number of pedals I own and I've barely used this since I got it from fellow board member Thames about a month ago. It was modded by Indyguitarist to sound more analog, and I have to say he did a good job, however I still prefer my Digidelay.

How can I turn my stacked pickup into a single coil?
I know it's possible, but I can't find a schematic that really makes sense.
I got a stacked pickup in the neck position on my Tele.

What is the BEST chorus pedal???
if you look at my signiture strip you see my effects are in a rp-7 floor unit. Thr digitech is ok but my old Boss gx-700 had much better sounding chorusing. Unfortunately it is shot, has been for a while. If some of you aren't familliar with the unit; it was a rackmount modeling processor. It was possible to pull some good sounds from it. It actually had better sounding distortion sound than you can get out of the digitech(which actually has a real tube in the preamp, which was changed after i bought it). I got a good deal on it used.
