Someone posted this on a Frank Black forum that I visit. The pic looks like it might have come from one of the guitar mags, so perhaps you've seen this before, but I thought it was worth discussing. An interesting idea, to be sure.

Hey guys this is my new Traveler bass that I'm taking overseas. It plays actually pretty well for it's small size. The biggest thing for me to get use to is the size and weight. Man is this thing light.a nd its not a short scale either I have to make a hardshell case from a rifle case and hollow the foam. I looked at the Nomad and ashbury. But this had the best reviews.

I've read some things around the internet that attenuators can be used in order to play a loud amp at bedroom levels. However I've also heard other people say that this isn't really possible, and that the main purpose of an attenuator is to reduce the volume levels slightly for gigging in smaller venues, and NOT to produce an acceptable volume for playing in your bedroom.

I have contacted a well established stringed instrument maker back home in my old town of Strasbourg (France), and he told me is not working with SD, but with Dimarzio. Galère !!!

This pickup started life has a JB and was rewound by the SD Custom Shop to the El Diablo. This pickup retains the slug polepieces instead of the allen hex pole pieces that are standard on the El Diablo . Color is white and it`s tremspaced. I`ve never got a chance to install it but forums member Shredog has one and this what he had to say about it.

is it possible to split coils with switch?..

I took some pictures and listed a guitar on ebay yesterday. Over night i left the guitar in the case that I am going to ship it in. When i took the guitar out of the case this morning i noticed a real musty/rotten smell. The case came with a guitar i bought about 6 months ago,and since then it has set closed in my attic. Any ideas how to get the smell out of the case in the next few days? I am afraid to spray anything in it because i don't know if it will effect the guitar finish when i place the guitar back in it to ship.

The time has come to change preamp tubes on my Boogie DC5 combo. The main competitors for the new 12ax7 are the Electoharmonix 12ax7, the JJ 12ax7 (ecc83s), and the svetlana 12ax7. Which one would you suggest???

Title says it...I don't get it...The TSL 60 watt combo amp is cheaper than the 60 watt head. Whats the dealie-yo?!?!!?

What do you guys think about these? What is it like tonally? Any pictures? Does it compare to a Bogner big 2x12?

i was messing around with my settings. I found if you place the eq after your distortion and starting with the far left slider push it all the way up. then moving right push the next one all the way down. then the next one all the way up ect.
so... 100, 400, 1.6k, 6.4k boost all the way. 200, 800, 3.2k cut all the way.

My local music shop just traded for one of these in mint condition. I like what I have heard about it so far. My preferred style is Metal/Hard Rock but, I want to be able to play a good variety of music. At roughly $850 what do you think?

Anybody want to sell me a PRS, prefrable a custom 24, but i will look into anything you got.

Hi, i have a strat with a hotrails in the bridge and stock p'ups in the middle and neck. I want to replace them both with either Vintage Rails or Classic Stacks? any thoughts as to what's a better choice? I'm looking for a bluesy sound (SRV, Hendrix, etc etc) but I also play alot of David Gilmour stuff. I also don't want alot of feedback when using high gain settings at high volume. Thanks.

from : localhost/ I was just messing around like I usuall do and I recorded a few snipets. Some of the songs are definately wrong, but they're just 'snipets' I've pickup from watching other people.
