I have contacted a well established stringed instrument maker back home in my old town of Strasbourg (France), and he told me is not working with SD, but with Dimarzio. Galère !!!
He proposed me a PAF DP195 as an equivalent of the '59...What's more, as I don't want a covered pup, does the DP103 would do the trick?
Honestly, I am not really conviced after what I read this afternoon on the forum about the dimarzios being less versatil than the Seymours. Furthermore, the tone charts don't seem reqlly equivalent, looks like the Dimarzios have more bass... no good for me.
What do you make of this folks ?
