Bought about 3 months ago from forum member. Upgrades include: Sperzel locking tuners, USA Fender neckplate, added neck humbucker(not sure what it is, but sounds good), toggle switch for coil splitting on neck humbucker, nut has been replaced(graphite i think). Candy apple red with maple board. Has large ding on the back down to wood. Virtually no fretwear. Light pick scratches. Just bought another tele and don't need two. Comes with Fender USA hardshell case. Hinges replaced, but all latches work.
$350 plus actual shipping. Thats what i paid and i just want to break even.bump

How long do you let your tubes warm up before flipping the standby switch?

Mint condition Jazz neck (SH-2N) with nickel cover. 4-conductor leads are 12.75 inches long. Original packaging with pair of screws and springs included.

I've always kinda wondered...I know she has an expertise in tone and pickup building. Its just the fact of someone having such knowledge about the sound of an instrument without playing it that has always not made too much sense to me. Any body know?

Guys like Stephan Carpenter (Deftones), Brian Murray (Iron Maiden), and John 5 (previously of Marilyn Manson) all control their effects and amp switching via foot controllers. I'm a little new to concept, but how do they work? What's a good foot controller to look at?

For my guitar building project I was thinking about a one pickup soloist, with TOM. Of course that'd limit me for clean tones so maybe a piezo would work well? For the pup I'm very tempted about the DiMarzio dropsonic, and both coils will be selectable. It will only have a volume control and the piezo will just keep its standard controls. I was thinking about this one?

in the 70's gear thread I posted a few days ago Evan mentioned brass bridges and nuts...does anybody have an opinion on either of these? Before the answers start, please don't tell me that Yngwie uses a brass nut, and he rules or sucks (depending on what you think) so having a brass nut will rule or suck (depending on your opinion of Yngwie. I am looking for opinions from people that did or do use brass nuts, bridges, etc...and before somebody mentiones it I have alaready thought about the brass saddles on Telecacsters...I hate anything else on a Telecaster, but to me that's part of the tone, I am talking about something that on a normal basis does not come with brass, and what type of changes it would make.

whats up guys, I am a new member with a question that I have not been able to find an answer for so here goes. I have a PRS Custom 22 with the 5 way rotary switch and I just installed a SH-14 in the bridge and an SH-2 in the neck. I flipped the magnet and wired it according to the info on the website. My question is, is all the info on the website for one and one PRS pickup or two Duncans? If you have any info on how to wire the two duncans I have in the guitar right now it would be a BIG help. Thanks

The mic I have been using to record for years just crapped out on me and I don't see any markings on it anywhere to help me figure out who made it. Plus it was about time for something new. Can anyone suggest a good inexpensive mic for recording? I just record onto an old Yamaha 4 track, so I don't don't really do anything hi tech. I just mic my combo amp or cabinet and go from there.
