I finally after about 2 years of changeover have my PRS clone finished. I started a couple years ago on the hardware, then late last week finished it off with some new gold covered pups.

folks,i plan on getting a hardcase for my guitar. saw a skb case for it online.couldnt see it in person becos my local shop doesnt carry them.
are SKB cases good? do they take the abuse well?

Hi, i was plaining on a custum guitar and i thought about those pups: JB, Distortion, Invader. i listened to the sample there are on the site and after i decided: invader ok distortion but ****ty clean, so this fall out.

I have an old bridge and neck pup. The only identifying markings are the letters 3R on a small white piece of paper on the bottom. What are these equivalant to today? I need to find a replacement for the middle pup. Originally they were installed as a set of 3 and functioned so that the inbetween postion of bridge and middle acted like a humbucker which I didn't like.

Looking for the nylon sleeves that hold the screws in the bobbin. Went to Home Depot and couldn't find any. Stew-Mac doesn't sell them either.

Do you guys know how much it costs for routing a single coil to hold a humbucking pickup would cost? I'm considering getting dual humbuckers for nicer distortion tones and for weezer like tones.

i really like the distortion tone i get on the Duncan Distortion, but since i run it thru a Recto, i can't clean it up very well. does anyone have a recommendation for a pickup with an quot;identicalquot; eq and magnet, but with a better, quot;cleanerquot; clean tone? (remember, i'm running it thru a Recto) i don't care if it sounds sterile or lifeless or whatever, as long as it's clean.

i wanna upgrade my fender strat. i just bought a hot rail for the bridge and a cool rail for the neck. but wich one i should use for the middle one???

what happens if you use an f-spaced pick up in a non trem guitar like a tele?

OKay i hav a C5 in my bridge and i was just wondering if u could get really nice artificial and pinch harms in a 59n and jazz combo. i think i hav a C5 and 59n combo but i live in indonesia and it is ****ing hard to speak english and for them to understand. Now that i got my guitar back either way im not changing the pups i love its new tone and the harms are fantastic! so i was just wondering i no the guitar generates most of the harms but i also no some pups help alot so what would hav better pinch harmonics 59n and jazz or 59n and C5

Have you guys ever seen this flavor of Les Paul?

I LOVE Slash's neck tone, so the obvious choice would be the APH in the neck. However I've heard amazing things about the Pearly Gates, and according to the chart they seem relatively similar. Can I get that same Slash smoothness and sweetness as well as the good cleans in a PG? Which would you guys suggest? I don't need to NAIL his tone, it's just that overall style of creaminess that I'm going for, and they're both Alnico II.
