Howdy. I've got this Fender Squier Bullet Special laying around yet to be worked on (new pickup, etc,) and I was just wondering if it would be possible to install an SD pickup booster into the body cavity underneath the pickguard? My pedalboard's becoming too big and the booster had to go, but I'd still like to use it. Who would I go to for this job? Would it be possible? What parts would I need? Can I change the footswitch operation to a three-way LP type on/off switch? How about the db knob, just turn into another knob on the guitar? and the fat switch into a mini switch?

You have often heard (read) bludave, wattage and myself speak very highly of our friend and amazing luthier Cris Mirabella of but his website is a bit oudated and doesn't show some of his AMAZING guitars. well, being that i am taking photos for a few upcomming full page magazine ads i am laying out for him i have 3 of the guitars he has built at home with me (how lucky am i hehehe). his craftsmanship and ideas are second to none! plus to top it all off he is an all around helpful and friendly guy who will work to make the customer happy no matter if he is building a custom jazz box, solid body electric, mandolin, acoustic guitar or doing custom finish work or inlays or if he is just setting up your guitar. he is one of the very very few people i trust working on my guitars and after you look at the pictures below of his 3 hand built jazz guitars you will know why.

So, is overdrive when the guitar pickup pushes more power to the preamp which then pushes more than design current to the power amp?

Back when I was a college schmuck, I traded some old dude my 1952 L-7 for a 1957 ES-175. I've been using the same old bright red strap that he left on it, ever since. Everytime I look at it, i cringe. Thing is, it is most comfy. Still, it's high time I get something that I can stand a little more in the aestitcs department. Hopefully something that has the similar mojo-osity.

The other day I was in a musoc store and saw a pretty cool Kramer Barretta.. It had the slanted pickup and said quot;Americanquot; in script writing on the headstock. What is a resonable price for this? They wanted $1200 which seemed prett high. it was in very good shape and had a skull graphic similar to what Warren Di Martini used to play in Ratt.

1982 Gibson Explorer in black white pickguard in pretty good conditition. Normal wear, dings on the bouts, nothing on the front of the guitar and no repairs. Original condition with Gibson hardshell case. I have pics as well.

where can I find the plastic surrounds for mini humbuckers (black, white, cream etc.). I am building a custom rear routed stratocaster using warmoth parts and I want to install SD minihumbuckers. I need the surrounds for a clean look without using a pickguard (I don't want a pickguard to cover the beautiful woodgrain). I do not see them at Warmoth, Seymour or Stewart/MacDonald. Can anybody give me a website for these?

I've got dunlop wah, Boss DS1 and DD3. Looking at tubescreamer (how similar are tubescreamer to DS1?) after I get boss tuner pedal. What is the best way to power these other than battery? Rather than get a seperate adapter for each pedal is there an adapter with several jacks I can put into each pedal? I read something about quot;daisy chainingquot; from the Tuner pedal, but have no idea what that means.

Okay, so I got my SD Tweak Fuzz in the mail today. Holy geez. This pedal is EXACTLY what I was hoping it would be. It's great for adding a tiny bit of grind to an already slightly overdriven tone, and it totally nails the huge, massive, square waved out tone so perfectly. I wasn't expecting it to sound THAT much like the Dirty Boy Afro Fuzz that it was modelled after, but it really does sound a holy bunch like it. I tried the pedal with a Reverend Slingshot with P-90s, an SG with Phat Cats and an Ibanez RG. The sounds were smooth and musical and fat with every single guitar.

I haven't figured out exactly why the late 70's MV JMP Marshalls aren't a particularly desired commodity, but...

What bridge pickup do these videos sound like? Especially the lead parts!!!

I know it allows extra pickup combinations, but how? Is it a glorified volume pot, or is it an on/off sort of thing? What are the advantages of it over an on/off switch for a pickup? Is it purely cosmetic? thanks!
