Back when I was a college schmuck, I traded some old dude my 1952 L-7 for a 1957 ES-175. I've been using the same old bright red strap that he left on it, ever since. Everytime I look at it, i cringe. Thing is, it is most comfy. Still, it's high time I get something that I can stand a little more in the aestitcs department. Hopefully something that has the similar mojo-osity.

So, do any of u messageboarders have any suggestions?

A brown leather stap.

I use a plain black leather one with mine. Boring, but comfortable and it looks good.

Go get a nice 2quot; wide leather strap in brown or black, or find one just like the strap on it in a more appealing color.

They have a vintage-style suede strap in seafoam, a guy i know has it on an old kay ES-175-style and it actually looks good. I don't know who makes it, my guess would be Fender or Levy's?

It's just your imagination.

Actually, the link isn't to an image, but a script to open an image in another window. It'll only work with links that end in quot;.jpgquot; and such.

The image tags are on there- I did a quote and copy, and threw a space in the image tag...

yea, I think fender makes a strap close to a sea green, but their website is gay, so they don't have pics of all the colors available. Also It might be a guitar fashion faux pas to put a Fender strap on a vintage Gibson.
