I'm making this a seperate post because well, its a seperate topic from my other post!
I'm looking for a schematic/instructions on how to install push/pull pots for splitting coils on my neck and bridge. The configuration with be H/S/H, so ideally I could split the neck and bridge and go with a 3 single coil type thing, or do any combination there of. The instructions on the site here only have how to coil split for a 5 way switch, and I suppose I could do that, but I'd prefer the push pull option. Anyone know where to get this info? And also what/where I can get some good push/pull pots?
push/pull pots should be pretty easy to find. most of the local shops around here have em. as far as a schematic

if you look at that there is a pic of one pup being split, to split two pups attach the red/white connection to the center left contact (right next to the other one) and ground both bottom contacts (only the right one is grounded in the pic)
Jeff; Just use this schematic for thr fundamental principal:
Splitting
Just use the quot;splitquot; portion of the schematic. You can use that same technique for any, and all pups.
You just take the red/white combo to the center of a push/pull, then connect a ground to the terminal immediately above it. SD shows using the terminal below, but I prefer split operation when the switch is pulled, rather than pushed.
Edit: Jeremy beat me to it.
Get some Dimarzio audio tapered push/pull pots. The quality is much better than the cheap foreign-built stuff most parts resellers stock.
Ryan
Ah okay! Makes sense thanks guys!
What value capacitor should I put on the pots? .22 or .47? Anyone have experience with splits etc., know which sound good?
I like hums split. Although, I've only tried a couple.
btw - It was probably just a typo, but just to be sure, make sure you get .022uf or .047uf, not .22 or .47 caps.
