I've got dunlop wah, Boss DS1 and DD3. Looking at tubescreamer (how similar are tubescreamer to DS1?) after I get boss tuner pedal. What is the best way to power these other than battery? Rather than get a seperate adapter for each pedal is there an adapter with several jacks I can put into each pedal? I read something about quot;daisy chainingquot; from the Tuner pedal, but have no idea what that means.

Dunlop brick, inexpensive, quiet and versatile.

If you get a Boss tuner pedal you can power the tuner with one Boss power adapter then you can get a Boss daisy chain that will power p to 8 other pedals...you could get a Dunlop DC Brock or a VooDoo Labs pedal power and those will power them as well...as for the DS-1 and the TS9 they are pretty muc h night and day pedals...

I think the common perception of this is that batteries are the best way to supply your pedals with power in terms of their detrement to your sound, reletive to other methods. However, it's bloody expensive! You obviously use a few and sound like you intend to get more. I also find that I can't relax when I power my pedals with batteries because I'm constanting thinking at least one is going to die before the gig's over. So, unless you think the HUGE cost is worth it ( the stress), we can rule that option out.

On the back of a Boss TU-2 pedal are two 'power points'. One is named IN and the other, OUT. You need a mains adapter to plug from the wall to your pedal via the IN power point. Then you can simply 'daisy chain' the rest of the pedals with some jumper leads you can get easily and fairly cheaply. It just means you only need to buy one mains adapter (therefore, obviously, only using one plug socket) and you can power as many pedals as you have jumper leads. Well, as long as they have the same two power points (I'm pretty sure the DD-3 does, have a look and let us know if you recognise them).

I don't have any experiance with this method but I've heard a lot of negitives from people who have. I've been told it can get really noisy if you're using more than a few pedals. Your pedals will also perform below their best due to the shared power. But this is a cheap and easy way to get power to your pedals.

You could use the method mentioned above, the Dunlop Brick. There are other manufacturers producing similiar units, some far more inexpensive than Dunlops version. This is similiar to 'daisy chaining' in that a single box, plugged into the wall, has 5 power outputs. This is the most common practise amongst semi-pro/pro players, I'd guess. I think all things considered, this is the best way to go. Although I know a lot of people who use these units, don't power all their pedals from them. Some pedals almost need their own power supply because they're so tempremental. A lot of 18v pedals for example, mostly E-H stuff I think. But since you're firmly in the Boss camp this isn't really a problem for you. I think, generally speaking you can't go wrong using a Dunlop Brick as long as you keep an open mind to pedals that might need their own supply. Looking at tubescreamer (how similar are tubescreamer to DS1?)

Could be wrong here, but I think the DS-1 is a Tubescreamer clone. Or is that the OD-1? Sorry, can't remember.

Ok...I power SEVERAL pedals off my tuner amd have NO problems what so ever nor do I notice any difference in tone, or have any problems because the pedals are using quot;shared powerquot; of any of the other crap you might hear.

Sorry if I upset you T.G.W.I.F. I did state that I've no experiance with it myself, these were just things I've heard from friends who've used this method. I was just trying to pass on what I've been told.

I've got that boss tuner as well as a few other pedals. I use the One-Spot 9 volt adapter. You can power several pedals, and it works great!
