Any combos can get Steve Lukather and Robben Ford's tone? My guitar has a maple neck bolts on a alder body, rosewood fretboard. It sounds kinda trebly and thin, especially solo with my Mesa amps. I am very into the creamy, velvet and round distortion. Thanks!!!!

This guitar is a Custom Classic strat with a premium ash body in honey blonde made in Fenders Custom Shop. The neck/headstock is lightly flamed maple as is the fingerboard, the radius is 9.5quot;. Pickups are 2 Modern Classic pickups and a Hot Classic in the bridge spot, they sound a little warmer/rounder than the pickups on the standard strats. The guitar comes in a Custom Shop case bearing the Custom Shop logo on the inside as well as all case candy and COA. The original build sheet is also included. Selling price is $1350.00. ...had played through a VOX AC30? ( I'm not going to buy a VOX AC30, this is a simple tonal query) How would his sound be different? More fuzzy not as clean for as loud as he played?

I play bass myself and really don't feel a need for pedals like when i played guitar. I understand in some situations that overdrive, dist and fuzz may be of use so as an envelope filter/follower, but i don't see the use of reverb, phaser, flanger etc

In trying to educate myself in the single coil arena, I need to ask this. I'm putting my Little '59 back in my Strat (bridge position). What I need to know is which of these two single coils would match up better?

Hiyas, I've a got an ash body strat with a maple fretboard. I'm putting a Hot Rails in the bridge, a Vintage Rails in the middle, and a Cool Rails in the neck. Should I stick with 250k pots or switch to 500k?

I was thinking about getting the 78 for the bridge and an Alnico II pro for the neck. I wanted my VH/Slash combo...Sound good?

I have alot of dust collecting on my amp, and since it's not smoot I can wipe it off, what can I use to get rid of this dust thats in the crevises of the amps quot;finishquot;.?

I hoping to get an answer from the Duncan people but does anyone know exactly what model this is? It's a trembucker that is really slanted (the bobbins don't line up straight). Is it a modded TB4? PA-TB1? 2?

Please can someone tell me if there's anything that everyone should know about active EQ. There's one on my new Fender amp and I'm finally going to get it back in a few days. I had a little go on it before I broke it and the EQ really threw me. I've been told I should keep the EQ reletively low to what I would normally set a passive EQ section and turn the master up, sound about right?

I'm new with all this pickup talk, and i hope this is not a stupid question!! When changing the p'ups in a guitar with two humbuckers, which side of the p'up should be pointing towards the neck and which side should be pointing towards bridge in both the bridge and neck positions? I recently purchased a JB for the bridge position and was wondering which way the ajustable side of the p'up should face.
