I bought a new Phat Cat set off Ebay to split-up as following and I'm having ALL sorts of problems with them...

Since getting my old Hammond amp, I've been using it exclusively because it sounds a lot better than my SS amps. Could I benefit from replacing any or all of the tubes? Right now there is one 5U4, one 6BA6 (preamp) and 2 6V6's
The 5U4 is a GE, made in USA and is marked quot;5U4GA [over] 5U4GBquot; on the base

What makes a pickup unique(the pickup itself, I don't mean like 'fast hands' or 'soul' or 'thick strings.') All I can think of right now is:

what's the difference between an OFR and a tremelo on like a strat? is the strat trem. not floating? does that mean on a start i'd be able to switch tunings without it going all out of whack?

What is the difference between a 22 and 24 fret neck other than the extra two frets?

Has anyone tried one of these wahs? How do they compare with other wahs like dunlop, vox, fulltone and budda? Any opinion will be appreciated, thanks!

Someone told me these are designed for 250k pots?? Is this true, I heard you should put 375k or 500k pots for humbuckers, and since this is a single-coil sized humbucker, I figured it would be the same.

If you could only afford one effect for your home recording studio, would you get a compressor or an EQ, and why.

I replaced a pot on my 1992 Hamer USA Centaura Sunburst (HSS). I think I forgot to solder the bare wire of the Humbucker to the groud. The green is soldered. I don't see any problem without it grounded. What is the use of that wire (red,white,black,green,bare) ?

I need to buy some conductor wire and pickguard screws, so I figured I'd pick up some Orange drops for all my guitars. I think I have .022 in all of them. Just wondering what you guys use with humbuckers and split 'buckers? Any suggestions?

Hey dudes! I just got a Digitech Bad Monkey Overdrive for $30 Canadian! I don't pick it up for a couple days, and I bought it based strictly on the little that Iquot;ve heard from people around here. I hear that this pedal is great for tubescreamer type overdriven tones, but I'm really not sure. What do you guys think of this pedal, and what do you like/dislike about it?

yup. says it all. made in germany. good- exc condition. threaded collar pref. don't mind chipping finish but the knife edges must be in good condition! don't need nut (won't refuse one though) , springs claw etc etc. pm me. thanks!
