Hey guys. I'm really looking to get another nice Ibanez. I love my Satch and would like another Ibanez. Now I know the JEM, JS, and PGM series are some of Ibanez's top models right now, but what others should I look into? I know of the older Petrucci models, but those are too exspensive for me. Some of the RG series top models? Just throw some info my way!

My girlfriend surprised me a EH USA Big Muff Yesturday (How great is she!!?!) so I plug it in and its what I've been looking for. I turn it off and I noticed it didnt really mess up my clean tone. Are they true bypass? Its a newer one. Like 2001ish. I opened up the box and it has a 9 lug switch.

I've gotten into the habit of practicing/playing my tube amp straight with just my Dan-Echo in the loop for a little echo here and there for ambience. I also use this setup when I play with my friend's classic rock band and don't really need effects.

Hey y'all, has anyone ever taken the covers off an antiquity? What do you get, nice clean coils, or is there a bit of grunginess around the polepieces, discolored coils, etc... like an old paf... I mean just how quot;agedquot; are they?

that says it all...I won't play a 335 very much at all, but I would like to have one...what is a good cheep 335 copy? I will replace the pickups, pots, switch, and jack. I was looking at the new Ibanez Artcore's as well as the Whshburn (I can't remember the model name/number) and maybe even an Epi...ideas?

Hey guys, i'm thinking of getting a second hand MIM strat, and teach myself how to install and upgrade all the parts, set it up etc. Where would be a good starting place? What parts should i upgrade? I'm doing this with a cheap guitar, incase i fudge anything up, i wouldnt be ballsy enough to toutch my MIJ 84 Strat. So i thought this would be a good way to start. If all go's well, i will just take everything out of the MIM, and put the upgrades in the Jap.
Ideas?

I am selling a Yamaha-Weddinton Special. It’s Yamaha’s version of a Les Paul Special, that came out in the early 90’s. The guitar is all mahogany, with a set neck. It has a few scratches on the body from play ware, but nothing too drastic. The guitar has a nice cherry red finish and looks great. I have replaced the original pickups with P-90’s and had “Paper in Oil” .022 capacitors installed to give more of a vintage vibe to the tone. But I am including the original Dimarzio DXL 90’s with the guitar, as well as a hard shell case. My price is $350 (shipping included) and I prefer a US postal money order as means of payment. Are the Duncan SSL-1s similar? They appear to be oriented more towards the older '50s type vintage sound. I'm looking for the super clean late '60s style sound.

The amp is Laney (again!) AOR 30 pro tube combo. It uses 2 6V6s as power tubes, 3 ECC83 as preamp and another ECC83 as a phase inverter.

I'm going over to Sam Ash on saturday to buy a guitar for my 12 year old nephew who I'm going to teach, he needs to get a electric with a small neck with NO FLOYD(that would be the worst thing ever for a begginer) and a price range from $200-300. I was thinking ibanez because of there small necks, does anybody have any other ideas? Just nothing too radical.

Now I know there are so many passives compared to actives, and that the tonal range is really quite large to make a very specific decision.

My squier Strat, Neck Duckbucker into my Marshall avt150 on OD1 with some of the built in reverb.

I'm getting an RG 350 and I'm going to take the Ibanez pickups out and put s in. I'm looking for a very versatile setup. I play blues, rock, metal, and jazz. I really need something that can sound awesome clean yet sound awesome distorted. So what do you think would be best for the HSH setup? I have listened to most all of the pickup sound samples on the site, but I still want some suggestions.
