Uglitone Turret board pics
Amp used to be the hated Crate g600XL. Now, it is a modified SLO preamp, with AC30 Phase inverter and power amp section, 6V6 power tubes instead of the small bottle EL84. Used Metallized polypropylene caps for the power supply. this baby will never need a HV cap job. nifty stuff!!!Wow! I love it! Impressive... I'm looking into building my first tube amp hopefully within the next 6 months... where did you get the supplies?

Monster Cable
Is there enough tonal improvement to warrant spending the extra bucks for Monster guitar cables?
I was in Best Buy today and saw a demo on a split screen and the side using Monster cables was 100 times sharper. I wonder if this holds true for guitar cables?

Line 6 gear for sale very soon
Vetta Combo--upgraded to Vetta II software. Only thing its missing is the VDI (digital interface for hooking up line 6's variax modeling guitar..which can be purchased from line 6 and self installed making it exactly the same as a Vetta II combo except for cosmetic look). Also has other upgrades which include more direct input models for recording right into your sound card. This means alot more sonic options than what was in the original software from line 6. (as a side note, the line 6 VDI is around $99 which would make this combo the exact same amp as a brand new vetta II combo..which go for $1700, brand new)
The combo was around $1600

Please give me advice on pedals.
I really need some input on what pedals I should get. What I have now is a Boss tuner and an Ts9 reissue. I've thought about getting someVoodoo Labs pedals. But I've also thought about going with just Boss. So I guess my questions are: Are Boss pedals good? I've heard some people say that Boss distortion is a little artificial sounding. Second, is there a Boss equivilant to the tube screamer, or should I just keep the ts9. Is there a better Boss pedal than a Tube Screamer. I don't really want a mismatched pedal board and would prefer to go all the same company if possible with the exception being possibly the Tube Screamer. Will a Boss Tu2 pedal power a Ts9 with the daisy chain cables like it will other Boss pedals. Please let me know you honest opinion about Boss pedals, Voodoo Labs pedals, and any other thoughts you may have. Thanks.

stk-t3b wired working but feeding back badly.
Just installed the hum cancelling STK-t3b pickups on a telecaster and a Gamp;L,(in bridge position) and bypassed the neck pickups allready installed. Used the instuctions provided, all worked well tone is great sounds great except for when I use My tube Screamer distorion pedal it feeds back really badly in a very high pitch tone, I think I need to chane or add a capacitor the one i am usinfg now is the one that was installed in the tele to begin with which is a .005 value. anybody run into this before and or have any suggestions, much obliged

How Do You Personally Compromise Action and Tone?
I'm kind of stuck here. Yesterday, while restringing my Jackson Soloist (w/ Floyd), I relieved a little bit of the string tension and raised my action pretty significantly. Now, this does make my playing a good deal more difficult, but I'm just loving the way the strings are vibrating and the tones I'm now getting.

I am an idiot!!!!
Well i was changing the string son my strat tonight, and i decided it was time to bring out the lemon oil so i did. Well on my rosewood fretboard i notice there was a fair bit of gunk there in the light at an angle so i used my finger nail to scrap near the frets. After half way through i noticed i etched marks in the fretboard itself!!!! it plays fine and feels new as hell, but its just upon close inspections the fret board especially near the frist 2 frets looks ugly... note to self be more gentle when your cleaning the taylor!

Noise Gates and Noise Suppressors?
What's the difference between the two? How do noise gates like the old Rocktron Hush 2B (which I think is out of production) affect noise and your sound as opposed to units like Rocktron's new Hush Super C/Hush The Pedal noise suppressors and Boss's NS-2?

F.S. MXR Zakk Wylde Overdrive. New Condition!
Would you be interested in a used but brand new condition MXR Zakk Wylde Overdrive? The stomp switch is malfunctioning but not broken. When I switch the pedal ON, sometimes the sound doesn't come ON but the LED comes ON all the time and I have to turn it ON and OFF to get the sound. It looks like something must be disconnected on the switch itself. Might be just a cold solder. The pedal still works and sounds great but the switch is cutting off. The Pedal comes in its original box, papers, Dunlop rubber speed knobs and everything else. The pedal is in brand new condition, this is my son's pedal. He brought it over when he came and visited me from CA. We didn't bother to send it back to Dunlop for repairs as it may take a long time before we get it back. My son didn't send in the warranty papers. My son took my Spina modded DS-1 with him back to CA and left me the MXR Zakk Wylde Overdrive. I talked to John Spina about this MXR Zakk Wylde Overdrive and thought about sending the pedal for him to look at but I thought, I have no use for this pedal and planning on selling it anyways. I thought if I could just sell it in its present condition, then I don't have to send it to John for the switch repair. You can just send it to John or you can fix it yourself if you're good with electronics.
Let me know if you're interested so we can talk about a deal. Send me a PM or e-mail. I can send you pictures if requested. Thanks!
