I can see you've had a trhead earlier which desribes the problem and

but Excel does not. This has cost me lots of re-work when I get in a

have multiple windows open and inadvertently click to close the wrong

I wonder if code has switched alerts offPress Alt F11 in Excel and the VBE should launch. Hopefully a window
here is
called 'immediate window'. If not go to the view menu and activate. In
here
typeApplication.DisplayAlerts = Trueand press enter. Now close the VBE and Excel. Does that fix it?--

started prompting for save when the file was changed, but not for
