have set default after formatting chart through chart / chart types/set as
default setting
Then when highlight data and press F11, format revert back to origional
setting
any ideas to amend?
I am trying to set this so as to not keep formating each chart when the
operator selects the required data
thanks
brian

You are close, however, you have to take a few additional steps:
Step 1 - you need to establish a user defined custom chart type before you
can set it as your default chart:
Select your formatted chart - right click - select Chart Type, go to
Custom Types, then User Defined.
Step 2 - Add your chart in the Custom chart - User defined - Add window -
give it a name
Step 3 - Now you can set your chart as the default
F11 should now generate your custom -- user defined chartquot;brian thompson3001 via OfficeKB.comquot; lt;u15682@uwegt; wrote in message
