I have an excel workbook that is used to select available services on one tab,
and transfer the services with a quantity greater than 0 (and therefore will
be on a customer's bill) to a second tab. Some services are only available
if another service is selected- ie: you can't have voicemail without a phone,
and you cannot have two voicemails with only one phone. Therefore, I put a
validation on the dependent cell to be less than or equal to the control cell.
After all quantities are entered, the user then sorts and the cost sheet is
populated by any row with a quantity greater than 0. The problem arises at
this point. Upon sorting, the validation no longer functions, and I need to
retain this validation. Some things I thought of are populating the cost
sheet with only the values gt; 0 without sorting, or using a filter. Any ideas?
?
