I have a quot;LOOKUPquot; statement (without the quot;falsequot; at the end) which
doesn't always return the exact match (I guess it returns the closest
match). I need an exact match or nothing. When I add quot;FALSEquot; to the
end of the statement, Excel won't accept it. So I changed it to
quot;VLOOKUPquot; and added the quot;Falsequot; and I get no returns except for quot;N/A.quot;
Why doesn't the false parameter work for me??

The following returns sometimes-exact responses:
=LOOKUP(D3,'Assign Reps'!C4:C502,'Assign Reps'!D4502)

The following returns quot;N/A:
=VLOOKUP(D3,'Assign Reps'!C4:C502,'Assign Reps'!D4502,False)

FYI, quot;Assign Repsquot; is my second page (which contains the column I'm
searching). I am writing the formula in a cell on the first page.

If you are copying this down the column in your first sheet, you may
need to amend it to:

=VLOOKUP(D3,'Assign Reps'!C$4$502,2,False)

Hope this helps.
