is there a way I can enter a Data Validation formula that refers to a list of
cells in another sheet of the same workbook ?

e.g. I want to put Data,Validation on a column in sheet 2, using sheet 1
cells A1:A15 as the validation list.

suggestions please ?

On the sheet where you want to use the validation, you have to created a
named range that refers to the list on sheet1. Then use that name in the
data validation.
