I have a problem with the filtering options for the advance filtering
and hope someone can help me with it.
Sheet1 is my database and Sheet 2 is the information I need to plot a
graph
1) Sheet1!G1:I2 contains the advance filtering criteria, I want to find
only Level 2 and within the week range stated in Sheet2!E1:G1. But it
does not work.
2) Can I plot 2 different graphs into a single chart? Eg. Using the
information gotten out in Sheet2!A1:B11, I plot graph 1. and using the
same x axis(Part) and the value in the Target column in sheet2 to plot
graph 2. Can I place both graphs in the one chart? -------------------------------------------------------------------

I have manage to put 2 graphs in one chart.
But can anyone help me with the advance filtering with dynamic
conditions? I cannot filter by Level and date range (which is keyed in
by the user). Is there a way to do it by macro (VB)?--

View this thread: www.excelforum.com/showthread...hreadid=502492You can certainly filter by using a formula,
however then you need to leave out any headers in the criteria, example is
here
www.contextures.com/xladvfilter02.html
in your case I assume an AND formula that will check for level and at the
same time the dates
leaving E1 blank and in E2
=AND(Sheet1!A2=quot;Level
2quot;,Sheet1!B2gt;=DATE(2006,1,1),Sheet1!B2lt;=DATE(2006, 1,8))
where A2 is the first data cell in the column where you want to check Level
2 and B2 is the first cell with data in the date column, note that you can
link that formula to cells where you input the criteria so instead of the
hard coded Level 2 you can use a cell reference and the same with the dates
for dynamic ranges
www.contextures.com/xlNames01.html#DynamicI would suggest a change event macro that will reapply the filter when you
change the criteria

Thanks for your help!
Yeah, I did make use of dynamic range, the attachment was an example,
thus I left that out.--
