Well I am thinking of putting a Dimebucker pickup in the bridge in conjuction with a 59 in the neck. I have a coil splitter on my guitar and really like the feature and don't want to get rid of it so I was wondering if the dimebucker will split or not. Also i was wondering if there are any other pickups SD makes which would be good for metal. Like JBs or something. Suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Output voltage
Does anybody know what is the output voltage of a Distortion, a Dimebucker and an Invader? I know that the Invader has the highest ouyput among those but what about numbers of mVolts? I can't compare them with other brand's pickups unless I know numbers.

JB with Covers?
Can I put nickel covers on a JB? If yes, how does that change the tone/sound of the JB?

bogner shiva 6L6
hey I thought this had a great clean sound and for 6L6 distortion I thought it had great tone.
the cleans are punchy and sparkley and sound nice and the distortion has a huge amount of gain but it didnt sound all muddy or out of control fuzzy. it doesnt have the clip of a el34 tube amp but its softer clip is still there and the distortion tone is good.

Help! What is this SD pickup?
Hi guys, it's a humbucker with no identification, black, screw type pole pieces, only sticker on bottom saying BJ (I guess from looking at a previous post this means it's a bridge?).

Anyone else ever dug this.....
I was just listening to my Junior Brown CD and just thought i'd ask to see if anyone else dug his awesome tone, courtesy of his custom quot;guit-steelquot;. This is some of the spankiest, most quot;balls to the wallquot; lead tones i've ever heard!!

emg's in epi les paul
I have a epiphone les paul that doesn't really have the greatest tonewoods (it seems to be mahogany with a thin quilt maple veneer) and I'm thinking of just installing an 81 in the bridge and a 60 in the neck... is this a hard process that I should pay someone else to do (I'm no luthier).. how much would most repair guys charge for this job?.. I'd also be interested in installing an afterburner (for solo boosts) and coil taps.. btw do coil taps work well with emg's?

Refinishing a Les Paul Special
I'm currently working on a lil epi lespaul special i was given a couple yrs ago, it was alright, played decent more or less, tho i wasnt satisfied with the finish it came with, i despise the poly shell it comes wrapped in, if i wanna look at myself inna mirror i'll go to my full length one in my room nude, thats a lot more entertaining. also, before i go any further, save me the quot;why even bother...quot; bs, yer not the one refinishing, so please no whining.
