I was just listening to my Junior Brown CD and just thought i'd ask to see if anyone else dug his awesome tone, courtesy of his custom quot;guit-steelquot;. This is some of the spankiest, most quot;balls to the wallquot; lead tones i've ever heard!!
I've never really caught a close up of this quot;guit-steelquot; to see what kind of pickups/parts it's built with though. Although on the front of the greatest hits CD that i have, it does appear that the red quot;guit-steelquot; does have Am. Std. Stratocaster tuners and bridge.
A great example of country tone that i thought i'd mention. Great sounds!!

The only recording I have of his is quot;Junior Highquot;. You're right, he's got an amazing tone and chops that go into next month. He's got a couple of guit-steels from what I gather. One of them has a steel pickup in the bridge position of the guitar part. His website is www.juniorbrown.com/
I have no clue what he has in it, but you're right. It sounds awesome. Killer chops, too.
Junior Brown is cool as hell!!! I like listening to his stuff!
Dude!!! Finally someone out there with some taste. I have seen Junior play live about 8 times. I am a huge fan. I always describe him as Merle Haggard meets Jimi Hendrix meets **** Dale!!! LOL! He rocks. I'd like to see some of our shredder buddies pull of some of his runs.
Edit: I'll try to remember to post some upclose pics that I took from a few of his shows tonight!!

LOL!!!!! I think you hit the nail on the head with that description of Junior!!!! I doubt the vast majority of shredders would be able to pull of what he does!!!!
