I have a epiphone les paul that doesn't really have the greatest tonewoods (it seems to be mahogany with a thin quilt maple veneer) and I'm thinking of just installing an 81 in the bridge and a 60 in the neck... is this a hard process that I should pay someone else to do (I'm no luthier).. how much would most repair guys charge for this job?.. I'd also be interested in installing an afterburner (for solo boosts) and coil taps.. btw do coil taps work well with emg's?

you would have to get their coil tappable model. the 89 to split the coils

You'll want to make sure you have enough room in the control cavity to store the battery, and room for the connector/cable to get back to the pickups.

It can be a tight fit in some LP models but it can be done.

I like this one

What don't you like about your guitar's tone?
